Hi guys, Hope everyone is having a good day. I just finished editing this image for a new training video I am working on about Mastering Studio Lighting. This shot was taken during a set-up where I was demonstrating a butterfly lighting pattern. Butterfly lighting is frequently used in creating fashion and glamour head shots.

In the studio we use a hair light to outline the subject, create impact, and separate the subject from the background. This is easy to do in the studio with a studio light positioned above the model aimed towards her hair, it’s also possible to do with natural lighting. In this particular shot we placed

Here’s one I shot yesterday. I was just playing with your standard clamp lights used in garage. I had one clamped on the boom above her and my assistant was holding the other one as the main light. Hi guys.. I recently got a new ring light that I am absolutely loving.. the quality of light is just amazing. I thought I would probably just use it for model shoots, but I find myself using it to create a cool look for seniors as well.  Everyone is loving their images. Anyway, I videoed
