5 Tips To Hitting Your Goals in 2025

It’s that time of year when everyone is setting goals and making resolutions for a better next year. What are your goals for 2025? Since most business goals are sales related goals I want to look at 5 tips hitting your sales goals in 2025.

1. Focus On What Really Matters

Being an entrepreneur is hard because you get pulled in so many directions that it can be overwhelming. If you are like most photographers and small business owners you have more work than the number of hour to effectively complete your “to do” list in a day, a week, a month, or maybe even a quarter.  Therefore you must FOCUS your attention on the work that that will move you towards your goals.

If your goal is to increase sales by $125k in 2025 is spending 2 hours retouching going to get you closer to that goal? No!  Therefore you must prioritize your work and focus on the work that will move the needle towards your 2025 goals. One of my favorite tools for staying focused on my top priority task is the Sales Planner.

2. Block Time for Sales

The first rule of productivity is don't think about too many things at once.  That's why I recommend time blocking. If you’re not familiar with the concept of time blocking, it will be one of the most powerful new things you can implement in 2025. Time blocking is simply allocating blocks of designated time for your high priority task. These are the task that are going to move you closer to your goals.

You must block time for your most important task. If you don’t block time on your calendar for what’s most important you will find that you spend you day in reactive mode and not working on your important task.

What would it mean for your business if you blocked just (1) 90 minute time block every day to focus on sales and making sales calls? I’m guessing it would be transformational.

Your time block should be nonnegotiable.

3. Outsource

In our survey last Fall you said one of the top 3 struggles of being a volume photographer was time management. One easy way to free up time to focus on your high impact task is to outsource. In many cases you will save both time and money by outsourcing. Everyone has the same number of hours in their week. What you do with your time will determine if you hit your goals for 2025.  Think about about outsourcing anything where you are not the primary value creator. For example, extractions, data entry service, accounting and payroll, design services etc…

4. CRM

A CRM (Customer relationship management ) is a powerful software tool that can help you organized managing all your company’s relationships and interactions with customers and potential customers. A powerful CRM software tool that lets you store all customer and prospect contact information, call details, opportunities and any follow up promised or needed for each account. A CRM is a must have if you are serious about your outbound sales.

5. Sharpen The Saw

Stephen Covey first encouraged us to “Sharpen the Saw” in 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.  In other words,  to continue developing and growing the greatest asset that we have… ourselves.
